Mt. Sakurajima (Cherry Island in Japanese), which sits magnificently in Kinko Bay, is an irreplaceable point of inspiration for me, who was born and grew up in Kagoshima.
Whenever I come back from a city life, or after travels, a view of Sakurajima through an airplane’s window never fails to make me feel I am back in my hometown.
The apartment I moved into three years ago is a place with a wonderful view of Sakurajima and Kinko Bay.
I started the “Live Camera” because I wanted to share this spectacular view with everyone.
Of course, for the people who have a connection with Kagoshima, but also for many other people to see the view of Sakurajima, an active volcano rare even in the world, and its former crater late Kinko Bay.
I hope that those all over Japan and the world, who have a connection with Kagoshima, will enjoy this scene with nostalgia.
